Agricultural robotics provides an alternative in order to enforce modern cultural method, in particular in organic agriculture.
For instance the problem of weeding in the production of organic vegetable actually still miss solutions.
Agricultural Robotics combined with AI provides a solution against the use of chemistry in organic cultures.
Rhoban team explore the design of such machines, in close collaboration with producers (e. g. Alliance Forêt Bois, Larrère), and providers (e.g. ATH, La Landaise), along several questions:
- The global architecture itself which must be drivable, efficient and cost effective. We are particularly interested into lightweight machine in order not to pack the soil (and so not kill life).
